Important
Information Concerning the Modification of Personal Protective
Equipment
(Helmets, Hard Hats, etc.):
Most,
if not all, manufacturers of personal protective equipment,
aka PPEs, (esp. helmets and hard hats) will state that any
modification of their equipment will void their warranty.
Further, these modifications may reduce the effectiveness
of the equipment in protecting you from injury or death. Applying
paint to a PPE is a modification of the equipment, and so
the aforementioned caveats apply. As a result, if you wish
to have Jesse paint your PPE, you must state that you understand
that you may be voiding the warranty on that equipment, and
you must hold Jesse harmless from any injury or death that
may occur as a result of his modifications to your equipment.
The
discussion of PPEs on this page is NOT meant to be a thorough
technical or legally precise description of the risks and
waivers involved in the modification of PPEs; it is only provided
so that you might understand the need for a waiver if you
want Jesse to paint your PPE. It is your responsibility to
research these issues and risks to the point that you can
make an informed decision on whether you wish to accept those
risks. If, in fact, you decide to accept the risks and commission
Jesse to paint your PPE, you must read and sign the waiver
provided below. You can send the signed waiver with the PPE
you want painted.
